Solid Light Receives Four Telly Awards

Solid Light is pleased to announce the design-build firm has received four Telly Awards, including two Gold Tellys for the immersive, orientation film, “A People’s Contest: America’s Civil War & Emancipation,” at the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, Virginia.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. It is judged by leading experts from various well-known organizations including Adobe, BBC World Service, Netflix, National Geographic Society, and more. With nearly 13,000 entries this year, the judges were looking for creators and talent that truly stood out, spotlight diverse voices, and who building a more sustainable industry, breaking through the static with their creativity.

Garnering three awards within the Non-Broadcast category, “A People’s Contest: America’s Civil War & Emancipation” received Gold Telly Awards for History and Virtual Art Direction. The film also received a Silver Telly for the Museums & Galleries category.

Debuting in the newly constructed Robin’s Theater on June 17, 2022, “A People’s Contest: America’s Civil War & Emancipation” complements the American Civil War Museum’s flagship exhibit, “A People’s Contest: Struggles for Nation and Freedom in the Civil War America,” designed and build by Solid Light. The 13-minute orientation film explores the origins, course, and aftermath of the Civil War.

Solid Light also received a Bronze Telly Award, in the Non-Broadcast Promotional Reels category, for the company’s 2023 Sizzle Reel.
