A Letter of Thanks from Cynthia Torp

Dear Clients, Staff, and Vendor Partners,

As we mark our 25th anniversary, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the journey we have embarked upon together. What began as a humble endeavor in my attic in March 1999 has blossomed into a nationally recognized, award-winning design/build firm with more than 40 full-time staff in a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

At Solid Light, our ethos has always been rooted in the belief that every space has a story to tell. For 25 years, we have had the privilege of creating one-of-a-kind experiences that captivate, educate, and inspire audiences across the country. From the halls of renowned museums to the corridors of cultural landmarks, our work has left an indelible mark on the fabric of the visitor experience.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our clients. Your trust in our vision and commitment to excellence has been the cornerstone of our success. Whether collaborating on ambitious projects or pushing the boundaries of innovation, your partnership has fueled our passion and elevated our craft.

To our dedicated staff, I extend my deepest appreciation for your perseverance and boundless creativity. Each of you brings a unique perspective and expertise to the table, enriching our work and driving us to new heights. Together, we have forged a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and innovation.

I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our vendor partners. Your reliability and professionalism have been instrumental in bringing our work to life. Together, we have overcome challenges, celebrated successes, and built lasting relationships that transcend business.

As we celebrate this milestone, let us not only reflect on our past achievements but also look toward the future with excitement and optimism. The next chapter of our journey promises new opportunities and challenges. With our talented team at the helm, I have no doubt that we will continue to push the boundaries of design, media, and fabrication—shaping the future of immersive storytelling and visitor experiences.

In closing, I want to thank each and every one of you for your contribution to our success. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or joined us along the way, your passion, dedication, and commitment have been the driving force behind our journey.

Here’s to the next 25 years of transforming spaces, captivating audiences, and shaping the world through the power of place, the power of storytelling, and the power of collaboration.

With deepest gratitude,

Cynthia Torp
