Duck, Duck, Goose

duck, duck, goose: waterfowl of the mississippi flyway

After collaborating on AgriCulture: Innovating for Our Survival, Solid Light partnered with Discovery Park of America again to bring a new permanent exhibit to life.

Duck, Duck, Goose: Waterfowl of the Mississippi Flyway is about the connection between people and waterfowl and the work that helps humans and nature thrive.

Waterfowl have sustained human life for ages. In the 1930s, market hunting and dramatic habitat changes nearly ended that story. Waterfowl hunters encountered a “duck drought,” but conservation efforts were sparked by unlikely heroes—the hunters themselves. Duck, Duck, Goose explains how federal land protections and private-land conservation united landowners, hunters, scientists, conservationists, and others to work to protect and restore duck populations.
