Jon, “Tido,” brings more than 20 years of scenic construction experience, combining expertise in carpentry, metal fabrication, and welding with an understanding of how designs are transformed into physical environments. Before joining Solid Light, he traveled extensively constructing scenery for major Broadway productions, including An American in Paris and Phantom of the Opera, honing the craftsmanship and problem-solving skills required to bring complex creative visions to life.
At Solid Light, Tido specializes in the fabrication and manufacturing of scenic elements, using a wide range of materials and construction techniques to interpret design intent with precision and quality. As a Lane Foreman, he takes ownership of projects as they move through fabrication, coordinating workflows, guiding production efforts, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
His combination of theatrical production experience, technical craftsmanship, and leadership makes him a valuable resource within the shop and a key contributor to successful project delivery.
