Amy is a polymath building professional, boasting a broad range of professional experiences related to the business of the built environment. At Solid Light, Amy works to ensure our teams are collaborating well to deliver the best projects, on time and on budget.
Prior to joining Solid Light Inc., Amy was a Business Development Executive for a national company specializing in historic trades and architectural conservation on some of our country’s most important historic cultural landmarks. In this role, she shepherded projects through pre-construction, and reviewed ongoing & post-mortem financial progress and profitability. Amy learned her business chops as the CEO & Founder of a Detroit-based construction company specializing in historic window restoration. Amy led and grew her company for nearly a decade, establishing it as a trusted regional preservation trade resource. She is also a passionate advocate and participant in small scale historic real estate development.
She started her career as a designer in corporate architectural offices where her work centered on sustainability and building material research. As both a Professor of Practice and adjunct faculty member she has taught history, design, and theory of architecture at Lawrence Technological University and the University of Detroit Mercy.
