Solid Light Named Commercial Real Estate Champion

Louisville, Kentucky—On April 12, 2018, Solid Light Inc.’s new headquarters was recognized as Best Adaptive Use Project by the 2018 Louisville Business First Commercial Real Estate Champions Awards.

The business magazine awards superlatives in 11 categories to “developments and transactions that have made major impressions on our city.”

In announcing the award, Louisville Business First noted that Solid Light had applied the same knack that the multimedia and design company has shown for helping brands evolve with high-tech innovation to transforming a 54,087-square-foot former electrical supply warehouse into its new headquarters. Solid Light owner Cynthia Torp spent $3 million to $4.99 million to acquire and renovate the warehouse in the SoBro neighborhood in downtown Louisville.

The move allowed Solid Light to bring all of its employees—creative, fabrication and administrative—together under one roof. The reimagined and redesigned warehouse space encourages innovative storytelling and greater collaboration as the Solid Light team designs, fabricates and installs visitor experiences for clients across the country.
